April 2021
Adaptations | Karen Olanna

On view: Friday, April 2nd - Saturday, May 1st
Gallery hours: Wednesday - Sunday, 12-4 p.m.

We are working hard to provide a safe place to view art during these difficult times, but for those of you that prefer to avoid public spaces right now or live outside of Anchorage, stay tuned for a virtual walk-through and the chance to view and purchase artworks from this exhibition within the next few days.

In lieu of in-person artist talks, artists are encouraged to gallery sit as an opportunity to connect with visitors directly in a way that maintains safe social distancing protocols. Karen will be gallery sitting on Sunday, April 4th; Friday, April 9th; Saturday, April 10th; Sunday, April 11th; Thursday, April 15th; Saturday, April 17th; and Sunday, April 18th. Stop by the gallery then to talk with the artist in person!

All Galleries: Adaptations | Karen Olanna

Karen Olanna, Modern Migration, Block print mounted on board

Karen Olanna presents a range of work including sculpture, paintings of Anchorage life, and block prints and their adaptations. This show was originally scheduled for April 2020 but, like everyone, IGCA and its artists have been adapting to our quickly changing world. Therefore, it became about riding the waves of change thematically, mythologically, and within art mediums.
